ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Doug Burleigh has spent his life in ministry, serving with Young Life for twenty-five years—five of which he spent as the National President—and working closely with The Fellowship in Washington, DC for two and a half decades. He is a frequent speaker and sought-after advisor on the topics of discipleship, mentoring youth, and cultivating a dynamic and sustained personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Doug is relentlessly passionate about seeing all people, young and old, running boldly after Christ.
Throughout the years, Doug has led over sixty-five “Jesus Conferences” for young people in all fifteen nations of the former Soviet Union and every region of Russia. He has been an unyielding advocate for discipleship and Jesus-centered living around the U.S. and the world, from business to politics to ministry networks and beyond.
Doug holds a B.A. in Political Science and Russian from Willamette University, an M.A. in Political Science from the University of Washington, and an M. Div. from Fuller Theological Seminary. He has been married to the former Debbie Coe for forty-six years. Together, they have four grown children and sixteen grandchildren and make their home in Annapolis, Maryland.
